I didn’t really know what to expect but everyone was so welcoming and I was amazed that I produced something reasonably edible. Can’t recommend it enough and I’m definitely going back for more. ”

“ This was my third time visiting The Kitchen at Chewton Glen and it just keeps getting better! The food is incredible – the lamb was cooked perfectly and the white chocolate bread pudding is honestly one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. The team here make the whole experience so special. The maître d’ is always so welcoming and makes sure everything is just right. We’ve also been lucky enough to have Noah serve us twice now – he’s brilliant, so attentive and really friendly. Can’t wait for my next visit – highly recommend! ”

“ Met a client for a friday lunch at The Kitchen - the first time visit for our client .lovely sunny day that really let the landscaping and animal wire shaped sculptures really shine. From the outset we had a very warm and friendly welcome, sitting in inviting lobby area for a soft drink .gorgeous log burner with baskets of logs , reminding us Autum was knocking on the door.. Led to our table but a lovely touch offered a choice of 2 different style of seating , both with an uninterrupted view of the glorious outdoor courtyard planted up seating area.. We were very very spoilt by Chef Luke and also by his amazing kitchen and restaurant teams…Chef Luke did an amazing food demonstration at the local Highcliffe Food and Arts Festival . The Kitchen is a definite place you should visit for a snack ,meal or even for a cookery class .. Our client absolutely loved loved it , and her plates were left clear and shining , plus enjoyed the non alcoholic wine…. Thank you so much to the whole team ,— Maida ”

“ Where do I even begin? This isn’t just a hotel restaurant — and certainly not your usual stuffy affair. We visited The Kitchen at Chewton Glen for my wife's birthday, and it was perfect. Chewton Glen itself is hands down one of the most quintessentially English hotels I’ve stayed at. Strangely, despite many visits, I’d never been to The Kitchen — which is tucked away in the grounds, separate from the main hotel. Safe to say, I’m already planning my return (my diet will just have to forgive me). First of all, you don’t need to be a guest to dine here. We kicked off with the squid starter, and honestly — it was so flavour-packed that we ordered another. We weren’t the only ones either. I’d have shamelessly gone for a third if my wife hadn’t stepped in. (No regrets. Just respect.) The setting? Sublime. Outdoor seating, perfect for an alfresco experience — especially if the weather’s playing nice. From the host to the waitress, we were welcomed with warmth. Zero pushiness. Just great vibes. Now, the mains. I had the buttermilk chicken burger — because the venue is more laid-back, and it felt right. And wow… probably the best chicken burger I’ve had in the past five years. Juicy, seasoned to perfection. My wife went for the monkfish tail — equally impressive. And dessert? Let’s just say… I’m still dreaming about their sticky toffee pudding. Enough said. All in all, for £170 between two (starters, mains, desserts, and cocktails), it’s not the cheapest — but absolutely worth every penny. You’re paying for outstanding food, impeccable service, and a genuinely relaxed atmosphere. Would I go back? 100%. Guest or not. ”

“ We went to the Kitchen for a nice birthday lunch. It was an amazing experience. Fantastic experience! The food was flavorful and beautifully presented, especially the lamb shank.Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. Cheryl was really good. The ambiance was cozy and ideal for a meal. Prices were fair given the quality. Definitely a new favorite—highly recommend! We even got lost and the hotel offered us a drive to the Kitchen and back to the hotel. Superb service from everyone. ”
